Undeniably the most accomplished, brilliant and understanding of works,
to date, dealing with Ian Fairweather (1891-1974) as both a compelling
and erratic person, and a brilliantly compelling and erratic artist.
Murray Bail has achieved greatness in this limited edition of 2,300.
Bail has created the most thorough, beautiful and devastatingly accurate
work on one of Australia's greatest artists.
He has taken a few liberties with his presentation of the artist's overall output, but I can put that down to idiosyncrasy.

'The form is more important than the content.'
In a pretentious, literary manner I have decided to give up meat for Lent, abstain from booze, stop smoking.
I'm not reading fiction for a month.
I want to see what I can get going both externally and internal from myself.
I think that my lifelong penchant for escapism may be hampering some of my chances for being content and constructive.
The book I have decided to start with for June 2014, "Labyrinths" by Borges.
'The form is more important than the content.'
Loving the irony?
